Who we are
The 10th Dentist (the10thdentist.com) is a dental price-comparison publication operated by Scout Theory LLC as part of the Colombia Medical network. We publish content comparing typical US dental pricing with typical pricing in Medellín, Colombia, and we connect readers who ask with information about dental care in Colombia.
What we collect
- Contact form submissions: If you use our contact form or WhatsApp link, we receive what you send — typically your name, email, phone number, location, the procedure you're asking about, and your message. We store this so we can reply and follow up.
- Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 to understand traffic in aggregate — pages visited, referral sources, approximate location, device type. This uses cookies. We don't use it to identify you personally.
What we do with it
- Reply to your inquiry with pricing information and credential-verification guidance.
- If you ask about care in Colombia, we may share your inquiry within the Colombia Medical network or with dental providers in Colombia relevant to your request — that's the entire point of contacting us, and we only do it in service of your inquiry.
- Improve the site based on aggregate analytics.
What we never do
- Sell your personal information.
- Add you to marketing lists you didn't ask for.
- Publish anything you send us — your quotes and stories stay private unless you explicitly agree otherwise.
Health information caution
We're a publication, not a healthcare provider, and we're not a HIPAA-covered entity. Please don't send us detailed medical records through the contact form — a procedure name and quote amount is all we need to help. Anything clinical should go directly to the licensed provider who treats you.
Cookies
The site uses cookies for Google Analytics. Your browser can block or clear cookies at any time; the site works fine without them.
Data retention & your rights
We keep inquiry data as long as needed to help you, then as ordinary business records. You can request a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing andy@colombiamedical.co. We honor these requests regardless of where you live.
Third-party links
We link to sister sites in the Colombia Medical network and to external resources (like Colombia's ReTHUS registry). Their privacy practices are their own.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
