THE FINE PRINT THAT MATTERS

How we compare dental prices

Price is worth questioning. But a treatment's necessity, safety, expected outcome and long-term costs cannot be decided from a dollar figure alone.

What the report card actually represents

The ranges currently displayed on our homepage are illustrative editorial comparisons retained from the original 2026 report card. The source archive does not include an independently auditable price-by-price source register or contemporaneous clinic quotes supporting each figure. They should not be treated as verified current offers, guaranteed savings, identical clinical scopes, or a basis for choosing treatment.

We will not claim an exact reduction in cost, a particular brand of implant, or equivalent quality without documents supporting that comparison.

Ask for the same scope — in writing

  1. Diagnosis and alternatives: what findings justify the recommendation and what happens if you monitor or delay?
  2. Procedures: exactly which teeth, arches, or stages are included?
  3. Materials and personnel: implant system, ceramic, lab, named treating clinician and their qualifications.
  4. Additional services: imaging, extraction, grafting, sedation, temporary restorations, medication and laboratory fees.
  5. Aftercare: follow-up visits, repair policy, complications, and who handles problems when you return home.
  6. Travel total: transport, lodging, lost work, companion costs and potentially separate trips.

What the quote-check tool does

The tool runs in your browser and compares the number you enter with the site's existing illustrative ranges, only for the procedure unit you select. It does not determine whether your quote is fair, the diagnosis is correct, or an overseas clinic is appropriate. It never automatically submits your quote to providers. You can separately contact the editorial team or explicitly request introductions.

What good sourcing looks like

A future updated price ledger should record the provider or published source, its URL, observation date, currency and conversion date, treatment unit, inclusions/exclusions and whether the quote was personally confirmed. Until those records are established, the current figures remain illustrative only.

Independent professional advice matters

We are an editorial and provider-introduction site, not a dental clinic. A licensed clinician must examine you, review relevant imaging and discuss clinical alternatives. Seek urgent professional care for severe swelling, uncontrolled bleeding, fever with dental infection, or other emergency symptoms rather than relying on a travel price comparison.
